Drunken Driver Accident - Pedestrian On Roadway
February 22, 2011 - A Pacifica Police Department spokesman reported that a 25-year-old man was killed after being struck by an alleged drunk driver. The pedestrain accident occurred at approximately 1:36 a.m. on Sunday night. The victim was walking along Skyline Boulevard by Sharp Park Road when he was struck. According to law enforcement officials, the victim's body was found in the southbound lanes of Skyline Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle that hit the man returned to the scene about 30 minutes after police arrived. He told the investigating officers that the victim was walking in the lanes of traffic when the accident occurred. Police arrested the 57-year-old San Bruno man on suspicion of drving while intoxicated causing a fatality, leaving the scene of a collision resulting in a fatality and vehicular manslaughter.
